an assembly for the promotion of poetic manifestations. a collection of poems. from walter von der vogelweide to maggie nelson. the book of poems that was never opened. a poem in the mailbox. a poem as a companion for years. we meet at sunset to read to each other from our collections of poems. because reading poetry is good for the environment. because we become travellers, travellers to the real and the imaginary, to the outside and the inside. because it is easy and because a few lines sometimes open up worlds. because you can read poems again and again and they never stay the same. because we can meet ourselves and each other in the process. because it heightens the body’s sensitivity. because it turns the world upside down. because it opens up horizons. because you suddenly see things you never saw before. because there are many other reasons. eine versammlung zur förderung von poetischen manifestationen. eine sammlung von gedichten. von walter von der vogelweide bis maggie nelson. der gedichtband, der nie geöffnet wurde. ein gedicht in der mailbox. ein gedicht als jahrelanger begleiter*in. wir treffen uns bei sonnenuntergang um uns gegenseitig aus unseren sammlungen von gedichten vorzulesen. weil gedichte lesen gut für die umwelt ist. weil wir zu reisenden werden, reisende ins reale und imaginative, ins außen und ins innen. weil es einfach ist und weil wenige zeilen manchmal welten öffnen. weil man gedichte immer wieder lesen kann und sie nie gleichbleiben. weil wir uns dabei selbst und einander begegnen können. weil es die empfindsamkeit des körpers steigert. weil es die welt auf den kopf stellt. weil es horizonte aufreißt. weil man plötzlich dinge sieht, die man vorher nicht gesehen hat. weil es noch viele andere gründe gibt.
